This exclusive training is led by Anthony Ross, former EPA Flint Emergency Coordinator and founder of Environmental & Public Health International.

Anthony played a pivotal role in ensuring safe drinking water for the people of Flint. His responsibilities included:

  • Working with the City of Flint, Flint’s public water system, and the state of Michigan to ensure compliance with EPA’s Flint Safe Drinking Water Act Emergency Order.

  • Collaborating with Flint and Michigan to accelerate lead service line replacements while maintaining Lead and Copper Rule compliance.

  • Facilitating communication across EPA, and with Flint and Michigan ensure safe drinking water for Flint.

Your Presenter

Anthony Ross is the founder and Director of Environmental & Public Health International (EPHI). Before establishing EPHI in July 2021, he served as an Environmental Scientist with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for 12 years.

Flint, Michigan Lead Service Line Replacements
  • During the Flint Water Crisis, he served as EPA’s Flint Safe Drinking Water Act Emergency Coordinator, supporting efforts to protect public health in Flint by ensuring safe drinking water quality for the community.


  • He collaborated closely with the City of Flint, Flint’s public water system, and the state of Michigan to ensure compliance with EPA’s Safe Drinking Water Act, as outlined in our Flint Water Crisis: From Crisis to Recovery Training Brochure.

  • Throughout his career at EPA he was responsible for regulatory oversight and provided technical support to state, local, and tribal environmental agencies.

  • Anthony holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Environmental Studies from Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago.
