About Us

Environmental & Public Health International® (EPHI) is a leader in drinking water training, with a focus on the Flint Water Crisis. Our training program supports efforts to improve drinking water quality and protect public health at the federal, state, and local levels.
We offer specialized capacity-building training for federal regulators, state primacy agencies, and public water system operators, drawing on lessons from the Flint Water Crisis to enhance public water supply management, improve drinking water safety practices, and prevent future public health emergencies.
Our work aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and our Lead Service Line Replacement Cost Calculator® (LSLRCC) is recognized by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) for advancing safe drinking water equity, climate-resilient drinking water infrastructure, and public health.
We are also a United Nations Global Compact WASH Pledge Signatory and have pledged under the United Nations Decade on Ecosystem Restoration and the Zero Hunger Coalition, reinforcing our commitment to advancing access to safe drinking water and protecting public health in support of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
We are participants in the Global Major Groups and Stakeholders Forum (GMGSF) consultations and provided substantive input to the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA 7) Stakeholder Forum consultation supporting the 2027 SDG Review.
EPHI was founded by Anthony Ross, who brings over 12 years of experience with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). As EPA’s Flint Safe Drinking Water Act Emergency Coordinator, he played a pivotal role in EPA’s efforts to ensure safe drinking water for the people of Flint during one of the nation’s most devastating public health emergencies.
