Environmental & Public Health International to Participate in the United Nations Global Major Groups and Stakeholders Forum
EPHI to Participate in UN Forum Shaping Policy Guidance on Drinking Water Quality, Climate Action, and Environmental Sustainability.
Press Release
Chicago, Illinois – November 25, 2025
Environmental & Public Health International (EPHI), a United Nations Environment Programme recognized leader in climate resilient drinking water infrastructure planning and public water supply training, announced today that it will participate in the 21st Global Major Groups and Stakeholders Forum (GMGSF), held from 6 to 7 December 2025 in Nairobi, Kenya.
The Forum is the primary platform for civil society and non-governmental stakeholders to contribute coordinated inputs to the United Nations Environment Assembly. EPHI will work with international partners to support discussions on priority environmental issues, global policy coordination, and opportunities for civil society engagement that advance the Sustainable Development Goals.
Climate Resilient Infrastructure and Environmental Governance
EPHI will engage in sessions on climate resilient infrastructure, safeguarding drinking water resources that protect public health, and governance frameworks that strengthen local resilience. These discussions emphasize practical pathways that help governments and communities prepare for climate impacts, protect essential services, and improve environmental outcomes.
Safe Drinking Water and Climate Adaptive Water Systems
Drinking water quality and climate adaptation remain central to EPHI’s mission. EPHI looks forward to engaging in discussions on climate adaptation strategies for drinking water systems, source water protection, sustainable groundwater management, and transboundary cooperation that strengthens shared water security. These discussions underscore the need for investment in safe drinking water access, climate resilient drinking water infrastructure, and measures that help communities adapt to increasing climate pressures.
“EPHI is honored to participate in this United Nations forum that brings together partners working to safeguard public health and the environment,” said Anthony Ross, Founder and Director of Environmental & Public Health International. “We welcome the opportunity to contribute to discussions that strengthen drinking water quality, advance climate resilient drinking water infrastructure, and support practical solutions that help communities prepare for increasing climate pressures.”
Artificial Intelligence for Sustainability and Environmental Solutions
EPHI is also interested in discussions on the role of artificial intelligence in environmental governance, including AI data standards, digital transparency, and responsible technology frameworks. These sessions highlight how emerging tools can support environmental monitoring, strengthen decision making, and improve implementation of multilateral environmental agreements.
Commitment to Public Health, Climate Resilience, and Sustainable Development
EPHI’s participation reflects its commitment to improving drinking water quality, expanding climate resilient infrastructure, and advancing public health and environmental justice. The organization provides capacity building training and practical resources that help governments, Tribal nations, public water systems, and communities strengthen drinking water protection and contribute to progress toward the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
