Environmental & Public Health International® (EPHI) announced that it has been formally listed in the Clearing-House of the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). The listing formally recognizes EPHI as a contributing organization advancing global biodiversity action, pollution reduction, and climate-resilient infrastructure through drinking water training, technical assistance, and publicly accessible tools.
Supporting Implementation of the Convention on Biological Diversity and the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework
The CBD Clearing-House Mechanism serves as the official knowledge exchange platform of the Convention and supports cooperation among governments, international organizations, and non-state actors implementing the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.
Advancing Biodiversity, Pollution Reduction, and Climate-Resilient Decision-Making
EPHI’s listing aligns its work with multiple CBD thematic areas, including inland waters biodiversity, chemicals and pollution, climate change and biodiversity, ecosystem restoration, and health and biodiversity. The entry also links EPHI’s activities to Global Biodiversity Framework targets related to pollution reduction, climate resilience, biodiversity-informed decision-making, and mobilization of financial resources.
Providing Capacity Building Training and Free Critical Resources Advancing Environmental and Public Health Protection
The listing highlights EPHI’s Lead Service Line Replacement Cost Calculator® (LSLRCC), a free, multilingual web-based planning tool recognized by the United Nations Environment Programme for advancing safe drinking water equity and climate-resilient infrastructure, as well as its Flint Water Crisis Drinking Water Training, a UN-recognized capacity-building program.
